ONLINE PROGRAMMING
This screen can seem a bit technical to start with but it's laid out in a very logical format.
Control Freq GSM devices are very advanced but can be set up quickly & easily. Most users don't need more than 15-20% of the functionality to suit requirements so setting up is flicking through a few tabs, adding a few numbers and updating.
Each section contains relevant information about each aspect of the hardware.
The top section includes...
[1 - 6] Device information entered previously
TIP : You can change the device name. Change the notes. If you change SIM, you need to update the number and APN ie: network name. You can't change the IMEI. It uniquely relates to the device hardware.
[7] Export settings to tabbed .xls file
[8] Import settings .xls file to program all settings in one go. Useful if you need to set up multiple units.
TIP : If you want to set up the device using MS Excel. First click 'export' and save the file as your 'master back up'. Then fill in all the parameters in the spreadsheet before clicking 'import' and choosing this file. Beware, if you mess the .xls file up from original ie: with any kind of formatting, play special attention to the import error log. It will tell you exactly what the issue is
[9] The last reported values when the device connected to the server
[10] The Changelog (this is the most important section of all - update your changed settings)
You'll see this Changelog window flicker as you make changes. Your settings are constantly being saved as you do them but will not be live on the device until you click the 'Changelog' window and click 'Send to Device'
